Planning a Christmas Party for kids can be so exciting and fun! From filling out festive invitations to arranging balloons and selecting adorable party favors, there are endless possibilities to make the event memorable for your little ones and their friends.

These party decorations and activities are extremely simple to prepare and ideal for children aged 2-10. As a parent, I understand that hosting/attending a party focused on just one of your children may not be very practical, so I have included activities suitable for each age group! All the details will be provided below!

This theme is as delightful as a sleigh ride through a winter wonderland! Every kid will have an absolute blast and feel the magic of the season! 🎄✨

When you break down any event or party, it consist of many different elements:

Invitations:

Invitations are definitely one of my favorite parts of the party planning! They give you a sneak peek of what's to come! Whether it's a fancy evite, a handheld invite, or just a casual Facebook event, there's no wrong way to do it. I love handheld invites because they feel so personal. And when it's a party for my kids, I always get them involved in the invite fun!

Here's a few excellent options for some handheld invitations:

Decorations:

This is what brings the whole party together! Decorating is so fun because you can go for a simple look or really go all out, totally transforming the space! My favorite part is watching how all of the decorations come together to bring the party to life! I love finding decorations that are appealing to the eyes but easy on the bank account.

When decorating any event or party, I always start off with a backdrop for guest to take photos. I recommend using either these Red Tinsel Curtains or these Green Tinsel Curtains as a base. You can layer this backdrop by adding these red and Green 'Merry Christmas' Balloons along the front. I personally love using these balloon sets because they are so incredibly easy to set up! There is a white option as well for the 'Merry Christmas' Balloons that will look great for the backdrop. The colored backdrop will make the letters pop! You can stack these Christmas Presents along the sides of the backdrop to keep the theme going!

Creating balloon arrangements is a fantastic method to effectively decorate a spacious area without breaking the bank. I consider a couple of factors when designing my balloon arrangements, such as the fullness of the arrangement and the choice of balloon shapes to achieve an impressive visual impact.

For this theme specifically, I recommend using these Assorted Christmas Balloons for your base. Make sure to use the same amount of balloons for each arrangement. When creating the balloon arrangements, use different lengths of ribbon to give it a fuller look. Add in one of these peppermint and candy canes from this Christmas Candy Balloon Set to each balloon arrangement or these adorable Reindeer Balloons.

There are various locations where you can display these balloon arrangements. Whenever I arrive at a party in an unfamiliar location, I am grateful for those who have planned in advance and placed balloons at the mailbox or entrance of the venue! You can also place them near the front door entrance as well.

When hosting a party at home, whether the space is spacious or not, there tends to be a room where guests gather to socialize with each other that's outside of the main party space. Whether this be a sitting room or even a back porch, I always add a balloon arrangement in there to let guest know that this space is available to them! In the transitional areas from one room to the next I would add these Hanging Christmas Trees in the doorway.

If you want to take your party to the next level twist these Christmas Colored Streamers and drape them across the ceiling. This is a decoration that is can change the whole event space without breaking the bank!

Tableware/Dessert Accessories:

There's many different ways to incorporate this theme when using tableware items!

This Candy Cane Serving Platter is a perfect example of that! Not only can it be used to display food items, it also goes along with the theme! I love buying items for events that can also be reused later on. This could be placed somewhere throughout your home such as on a kitchen island or coffee table later on!

Begin by preparing your tables with these Red Tablecloths. They are washable and stain resistant, so bring on the mess! I'm all about the reusable items as these can be used later on for a Valentines Days Party! Take a look at this fantastic Christmas Themed Dinnerware Set for your festive table arrangement! It includes everything you need for up to 40 guests - dinner plates, dessert plates, cups, and napkins. To complement the setup, add some Red Plastic Silverware. The set is charming, and children will enjoy eating from these delightful plates and sipping from the festive cups!

Another way to incorporate the theme through tableware items is through this Santa Candy Bowl. This doesn't necessarily have to serve candy, I'm sure the kids would love a special treat like Muddy Buddies!

When it comes to special treats, everyone enjoys having one at a party! Cupcakes are always an absolute hit! Whether they are homemade or store-bought, this Three-Tier Cupcake Stand is the way to go. I love that you are able to reuse it later on for another event or party. If you do decide to make the cupcakes, I suggest using these Christmas Cupcake Liners as well as this Christmas Themed Cupcake Toppers! The little details won't go unnoticed.

Activities/Party Favors:

Whenever I host an event or party, I make sure to provide some form of entertainment for the guests! A Bounce House is always a hit with the kids. Renting one is more cost-effective than purchasing, but if you do buy one, you'll find it to be a worthwhile investment. I recently bought one for my kids' birthday parties and it quickly paid itself off after just two uses.

For some cost efficient options, these crafts are the way to go! These Make Your Own Sticker Sets are perfect for every age. With some help, the little ones will love this festive craft. For ages 6+, this Snowman Making Kit is the perfect activity for a Christmas Party! These kids will make the sweetest memories! For the older age group (teen age), they will love to make these Christmas Bracelets together. Every time they wear the bracelets, they will think of this Christmas Party and the fun they had!

If you're looking for a group activity, you can also go with this Candy Cane Piñata. It's such a classic game to play with all of the kids!

Party favors are a great way to thank your guest for attending your party. I can't get over how cute these Christmas Party Favor Boxes are. These boxes can used to hold all of the candy the kids receive from the piñata and these really cute Assorted Christmas Poppers.

And just like that, you have a fully planned out Kids' Christmas Party! Now it's time to set up and get this party started! If you decide to go with this theme, I hope you and your guest enjoy it!

I post other party themes for all ages as well, feel free to check them out! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out!
